Can I apply to become a Magnum 4D Agent?

Answer
Since 1989 the Malaysian authorities have stopped issuing any new agency licenses. We have therefore stopped accepting and processing any new applications.

Who can buy 4D tickets?

Answer
Any person who is not forbidden by his religion and is at least 21 years of age can buy 4D tickets.

Where can I buy 4D tickets?

Answer
You can buy 4D tickets at any of the 488 4D outlets located throughout Malaysia except in the states of Terengganu, Kelantan and Sabah. These outlets are operated by Magnum's appointed 4D Agents.

When can I buy 4D tickets?

Answer
The operating hours of 4D Agents is as follows:

On draw days, i.e. Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday, all 4D Agents open at 10am and close at 7pm.

On non-draw days, i.e. Monday, Tuesday and Friday, most 4D Agents open at 10am and close at 5pm. Some 4D agents may however choose to operate longer and close only at 7pm.

Thursday is the official rest day, as such most 4D Agents do not operate on Thursday. However, some may choose to open their outlets and they normally operate from 10am to 1pm.

Up to what time can I still buy tickets for a draw?

Answer
All draws close at 7pm on their respective draw days. You can therefore purchase tickets for any given draw at any time before 7pm on the draw day.

How much can I buy for each 4D number?

Answer
To limit its' exposure, Magnum imposes Big and Small limits on each 4D number. For each 4D number, these limits amount to thousands of dollars each per draw. For any 4D number, you can therefore buy as much as you wish until the imposed limits are reached. Once the imposed limits on a 4D number are reached, you can no longer buy tickets for that 4D number irrespective of which 4D outlet you go to.

Can I buy tickets in advance for future draws?

Answer
Yes! Apart from buying tickets for the current draw, you can buy tickets in advance for the next 5 draws. Buying tickets in advance for future draws give you a better chance of securing the 4D numbers you want.

How often and at what time are draws conducted?

Answer
Every week, the Company conducts three regular draws. These regular draws are conducted on every Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 7.00pm sharp.

The Company may from time to time, whenever granted permission by the Treasury Department, conduct special draws. These draws are normally conducted on Tuesday and the draw dates are normally chosen to coincide with special occasions such as Chinese New Year, Mooncake Festival, Hungry Ghost Festival etc. Special draws are also conducted at 7.00pm sharp.

How are draws conducted?

Answer
All draws are always conducted in full view of the public. They are conducted by Magnum officials together with members of the public who are randomly selected just before the start of the draw.

Each of the 23 winning numbers is randomly drawn using see-through electromechanical drums. These drums do not require direct human contact as they are electrically controlled and operated by electric motor.

From the start to the finish, it is the selected members of the public that actually draw each and every of the winning numbers. By pressing a remote control button when instructed by the master of ceremony, they are the ones who actually open the apertures at the base of the fast rotating drums to allow one ball to fall out from each drum, thereby drawing out the winning number.

Are all draws opened to members of the public?

Answer
Yes! All draws are opened to members of the public who are aged 21 or above. Admission to the draw auditorium is free.

Can members of the public participate in the draw?

Answer
Yes! Any member of the public who is aged 21 or above can participate in the draw. To participate in the draw, you must fill up a short and simple registration form at the waiting area to the draw auditorium. Before the start of the draw, Magnum officials will perform an open ballot to randomly select from those who registered two or more participants.

Is there a dress code in the draw auditorium?

Answer
Yes! Only members of the public who are properly attired will be admitted. One may dress casually but shoes are a must. Slippers are strictly prohibited!

Members of the public are also prohibited to bring any hand-carried items into the draw auditorium. These include but do not limit to camera, mobile phone, bags or boxes of any kind, helmet, umbrella, food and drinks. Drinks are provided in the waiting area to the auditorium.

Yes! All selected participants will receive a token sum as a reward.

After each draw, the 4D Results drawn are immediately available through the following channels:

  • My4DMail facility which delivers results via email to all registered users
  • SMS Results facility which delivers results via SMS message to all registered users

4D results of each draw are also published in most leading local newspapers on the day after the draw. In addition, results of the 3 most recent draws are available on results display boards at all Magnum 4D outlets..

  • For results of all draws of the past 6 months, apart from our website, you may also listen to them on "Results at your Fingertips" telephone facility.
  • For results of the past three draws, you will be able to find them on Infonet (Beriteks) and at all Magnum 4D outlets.

Under Winning Streak in the section mentioned, you can retrieve details of all the prizes ever won since April 1985 by any 4D number by entering the 4D number and click the submit button.

Absolutely! We provide a free service called My4DMail that automatically delivers the latest draw results via e-mail to all registered users. The e-mails to the registered users are usually sent within the very day the draw is conducted! To register for this free service, click here.

Can I still claim my prize 6 months after the draw?

Answer
No! As all prizes not claimed within 6 months from the draw are submitted to the Treasury Department as unclaimed monies, the Company will therefore not entertain any claim made 6 months after the draw.

Prizes can be claimed either at Magnum 4D outlets or Magnum 4D state offices depending on the total prize amount of the ticket and the number of days that have lapsed since the draw. Follow the table below to determine where to claim your prize.

Important Notice: All winning tickets must be claimed within 6 months from the draw. All prizes which are not claimed within this 6-month validity period will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance.

When claiming your prizes, you must present valid winning 4D tickets. A winning ticket is considered valid and acceptable for claim only if it satisfies all of the following conditions:

  • It is issued by Magnum Corporation Berhad or its' appointed agents.
  • It is printed on genuine ticket stock or paper supplied by Magnum Corporation Berhad.
  • All particulars on the ticket are clear and legible.
  • All particulars on the ticket are identical in all aspects with those on the electronic copy recorded and kept on the Company's computer system.
  • The ticket has not been altered, defaced, mutilated, torn or tampered with in any manner whatsoever.
  • The ticket has not already been cancelled as per the Company's computer records.
  • The ticket has not already been claimed or paid as per the Company's computer records.
  • The validity of ticket has not expired i.e. it is still within 6 months from the draw when the ticket is presented for claim.
  • The ticket must be able to pass all the Company's security checks.
  • The above notwithstanding, the ticket must comply with and satisfy the requirements for a valid winning ticket as described under the Company's Rules and Regulations.

You must bring along the winning ticket together with your Identity Card or passport.

Can I still claim my prize if my winning ticket is torn, smeared or hardly legible?

Answer
As prizes will only be paid if the Company can validate and ascertain that tickets presented are indeed valid winning tickets, claims made with tickets that are completely illegible will therefore not be entertained. The Company will however attempt to validate torn, smeared or partly legible tickets and if it can ascertain with absolute certainty that the tickets presented are indeed valid winning tickets, it will still honour and accept those claims.

Can I still claim my prize if I lose my winning ticket?

Answer
No! The gazetted rules of the 4D game state that prizes are payable to holders of valid winning tickets only. Therefore, any claims in respect of lost winning tickets will be rejected.

Are prizes paid in cash or in cheque?

Answer
Prizes up to RM2,000 are paid out in cash. Prizes exceeding RM2,000 are paid out in cheque. However, our 4D Agents may sometimes make cash payments for claims exceeding RM2,000 if they have sufficient cash at their outlets.
